The Digital Media Center connects students, community, and industry, using the power of digital media to facilitate creative learning, production, and experiences that educate, inform, entertain, and enlighten.
To empower our campus, community, and regional enterprise by operating a state-of-the-art center for digital media education & scholarly research, community media production & distribution, and professional production services.
The DMC’s 8500-square-foot facility includes 20 multimedia workstations, a state-of-the-art television production studio with a permanent lighting grid, a digital master control center for playback and archiving of programming, and an equipment room with cameras, lighting and sound equipment available for student check-out.
Did you know that the SOU DMC operates a 4 channel regional cable network available in approximately 50,000 homes in Jackson and Josephine counties? We serve the University and the regional governments of Ashland, Grants Pass, Medford, and Jackson County. We’re known as the Southern Oregon C-SPAN. But it isn’t just government TV; SOU Students and the citizens of our region can submit their work for programming on RVTV Voices.
